Propagating Fruiting Plants: Saturday, June 8 • 11am-1pm

from $45.00

Grafting, layering, and rooting galore!

Join us in the HOEC Community Orchard to explore different ways we can propagate fruiting plants, and take home some cuttings to jump start your collection (most likely cuttings from kiwi, figs, grapes, & ribes)!

Growing your own plants is a rather addicting way to save money while expanding your collection. In this workshop we will explore the edible landscape in the orchard, talk about different ways each plant can be propagated, and cover the following propagation techniques: grafting, layering, and rooting with hard & soft wood cuttings.
