WHAT IS #2 FRUIT?
Ugly Fruit Deserves Love Too! #2 fruit is fruit that may have minor blemishes or damage that does not affect freshness or taste. These blemishes can be surface-level, such as sun burn or minor pest damage from things like codling moth, which can be easily cut away. You may have heard this referred to as “ugly” or “imperfect” produce. Ugly fruit is perfect for baking, juicing, preserving, or processing. In some cases, like watercore (sought after for making superior tasting applesauce or pressed cider due to its high concentration of sugars), “blemishes” can make your creations even MORE delicious!
PARTICIPATION PERKS
We believe that making a connection to the food you eat and the land where it is grown is important, and we encourage CSA participants to spend time in the orchard! You will receive an invite to a fun fresh cider pressing event in fall, monthly emails filled with recipes, and educational information, as well as an open invite to spend time enjoying the orchard any time we are open. So come hang out, explore, have a picnic, choose a favorite tree, and watch the fruit grow.

PICKUP DATES:
Choose ONE Pickup date for September and ONE pickup date for October:
September 17th or 21st: Box 1
October 22nd & 26th: Box 2
PICKUP TIMES:
Pickup any time between 10am -2pm on your chosen dates.
PICKUP LOCATION:
The HOEC Community Orchard, located in Oregon City on the Clackamas Community College Campus.
