Funny marks on your fruit? Seeing damage outside, or in? Is something creepy crawling through your apple or pear? Join us online to learn what health challenges you might encounter in your orchard and how to manage them.
Students will join us online to learn to identify signs of common pests and problems and discuss some of the organic methods and strategies used to help minimize disease and insect challenges.
Part 1: Online - At home at your own pace. Materials will be sent out in advance for review.
Part 2: In the Zoom room, students will learn about HOEC's bio-intensive Integrated pest management program as well as common pests and diseases of PNW orchards and fruiting plants. We will do some show and tell from the students and Q&A for best management practices in an organic garden
Zoom link and calendar invite will be shared after registration. If you have examples of pests and/or disease in your garden that you would like to discuss in class, please send them ahead of time to info@homeorchardeducationcenter.org.
