It’s as simple as that. “Grafting” means that we attach a cutting of your selected apple variety onto the rootstock to create a new, baby fruit tree. Your tree will come in a 1 gallon pot, will be about 12-18” tall, and will be just beginning to wake up from winter dormancy when you arrive for pickup in spring.
About Your Tree:
This year, ALL pears will be grafted onto OHxF97 rootstock is a semi-standard maintained at 10-16”. This rootstock is resistant to pear decline and fireblight. It is a superior rootstock for vigorous pear trees. Hardy and resilient to cold. It provides good anchoring and yield efficiency.
